4. Glow worm cave – New Zealand
When Peter Jackson chose New Zealand as the setting to film the Lord of the Rings trilogy he did so with the full knowledge that New Zealand had some of the prettiest sights in the world to offer. He missed the glow worm cave. This cave is known for its population of glowing worms, exclusive to New Zealand, and they create one of the most eerie yet beautiful sights on this planet. The dark caves are filled with their luminescent body and reach out to us like something from out of this world.
