3. Salar de Uyuni – Bolivia
Salar de Uyuni is the worlds largest salt flat at over 4,000 square miles. The salt flat was part of a lake that had dried up over 10,000 years ago. When this lake dried it left behind the world’s largest mirror. When the Uyuni is covered with a thin layer of water the mirror effect goes on for thousands of miles. Truly this image is mind-blowing and a great way to realize just how large the world around us is.
