4. Westminster Abbey
Henry the VIII began the building of the present Westminster Abbey in 1245 and the church has become one of the most important gothic buildings in the United Kingdom. Full of beautiful art, stained glass and intricate stone work, the Abbey is also the place where many significant citizens of the country are buried.
