6. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island (1995 – Nintendo)
The world of gaming was rocked by a little plumber in a red hat and then it was floored by the games that followed it. Shigeru Miyamoto is the creative genius behind the Mario series and was the primary creative director of Super Mario World 2. It was his decision to change the art style to be similar to a child’s drawing and it paid off incredibly. Super Mario World 2 is iconic for its hand drawn style.
