2. Final Fantasy VIII (1999 – PS1)
The original innovators of the console RPG, Final Fantasy VIII is the 8th entry into the epic Squared Enix series. The game featured 3D models while in combat, 3D isometrics while in the over world, and cinema-esque stylized 3D cut scenes. For its time Final Fantasy VIII was considered one of the most visually stunning games available. This says nothing of its fantastic gameplay, layered story, and tremendous depth.
