3. Lord Of The Rings (2001)
Worldwide phenomenon, and the largest part of Peter Jackson’s huge film legacy, Lord of the Rings changed expectations for fantasy films forever. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was set in New Zealand and features wide, sweeping, shots that brought viewers into Middle Earth. While his follow-up trilogy, The Hobbit, has not found the same critical acclaim it too flexes the mastery of cinematography that made Peter Jackson a world renowned director.
