5. Francis Bacon- Study after Velazquez’s Portrait of Innocent X
Bacon, a mid-20th Century painter, liked to create strange versions of classic works. In this case, he took Diego Velasquez’s portrait of Pope Innocent X and turned it into something you might see in the elevator at Disney’s Tower of Terror ride.
