4. Hieronymus Bosch- Garden of Earthly Delights
Bosch is an excellent example of the fact that the Northern Renaissance was a far different animal than the Italian Renaissance. This triptych starts with the Biblical story of creation on the left and ends with damnation on the right. Thereís a lot going on in this painting. But, thereís even more butt music. Thatís rightñbutt music. If you thought that tunes coming from your nether regions are childish, rest assured that Bosch did not.
