4. Wear basic clothes
Although your favorite outfit might be a bright, patterned shirt, for the sake of an online dating portrait, steer clear of bright colors and bold patterns. Baggy clothes also don’t work because anyone that might be interested can’t see what’s under the baggy clothes. Wear plain colors that fit well without being too baggy or too tight.
